Dawn Cothran Hatcher

PCAM, CMCA, AMS-President and Senior Community Manager

Dawn Hatcher established Elite Management Professionals, Inc. after 12 years of developing and growing another local management company. As a PCAM (Professional Community Association Manager) and owner of the company, Dawn oversees all communities the company is managing. Dawn also holds the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation from the Community Association Institute and the Association Management Specialist (AMS). She has been in the Association Management industry since 1998, first working for a developer and builder and then becoming a Community Manager, servicing townhome, condominium, and single family communities in the Triangle area.

Katie Dominello

Katie Dominello is a portfolio community manager in Raleigh, Durham, Mebane and Cary. In addition to Portfolio Management, Katie has experience with onsite management working with a local community of over 1000 homeowners for several years. Katie earned her bachelor’s degree in communication and journalism from Keene State College. She is an excellent problem solver and enjoys working with homeowners. She holds the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designation, the Certified Manager of Community Association designation (CMCA) and the Association Management Specialist (AMS) designation. Star Smith

Star Smith has been a Community Manager since 1996.   Star’s experience includes every aspect of association management including financial, maintenance, and governance matters.  Her current portfolio includes townhomes, condominiums, single family housing and commercial properties.  Her enthusiastic attitude allows homeowners and Board members alike to relate easily with her allowing for the quick resolution of their concerns.

Karen Bayless

Karen Bayless manages both small and large established communities, works with local/national developers throughout the preconstruction and construction process and as a Senior Community Manager with onsite management offices. With new construction communities, she ensures that at construction completion, the transition from developer to homeowner control is seamless.  Karen also leads the Elite Management Training department working with new employees and conducting monthly training for both managers and assistant managers with her assistant, Sarah. Karen is an NCSU graduate and has over 15 years of experience in association management and holds her North Carolina real estate license (currently inactive).  She has over 10 years onsite new home sales experience and over 10 years of experience as a Property Manager (multifamily).

Greyson Katkaveck

Greyson is a graduate from NC State University with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. She has many years of customer service experience right here in Raleigh and enjoys working with a diverse portfolio of communities in the Triangle area. She is passionate and dedicated to the communities that she works with and strives to have excellent communication with Boards, homeowners and vendors. Hilary Slater

Hilary Slater is a native of Raleigh. After college she worked in the property management industry since 2008 and enjoys working with the public.  Hilary’s strengths are problem analysis and conflict resolution. During her time in the property management field she has helped with large renovation projects, working extensively with the reserve study, budget planning, implementing new procedures when needed, etc. Hilary takes pride in the communities she works with and looks forward to overcoming challenges and learning new things.

Jessica Merritt

Jessica is a graduate of Appalachian State University (B.S., Business Administration) who specializes in managing developing communities from the preconstruction phase through to final build-out. She uses her many years of experience working with local and national real estate developers, as well as a proactive, forward-thinking management style, to ensure a smooth development period and a successful transition to a homeowner-led board when the time comes. Jessica holds her CMCA and AMS designations and is working towards her PCAM– our industry’s highest designation for residential portfolio managers.

Amy Odom

Amy is originally from Dunn, NC. She joined Elite after spending nearly 15 years in the multi-family industry (apartment industry) where she managed multiple properties at a time and was responsible for as many as 4,500 residents during any given time. Amy thrives on a challenge and embraces each one with her bubbly personality, positive attitude, hard work and superior customer service. She has alot of experience in interpersonal skills which helps her build positive, strong, and cohesive business relationships as well as being a critical thinker that helps her provide creative solutions to client problems. When Amy is not working, she enjoys traveling with her husband and 3 small dogs. Her favorite places to be are on a beach in the summer and in the mountains in the fall. She is an avid UNC fan and sports enthusiast watching as many basketball and football games as she can.

Nick Ruden

Nick Ruden is a native North Carolinian and hails from High Point. He has a bachelors in Political Science from High Point University, a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from UNC-Greensboro, and a Masters of Science in Administration from Saint Josephs University. Nick comes to Elite with several years of HOA experience and has also worked both the governmental and nonprofit sectors. Outside of Elite Nick is very involved for different causes and serves with nonprofits.

Jason A Wright

Jason A. Wright is a portfolio community association manager in the Greater Triangle area of North Carolina. Prior to Elite, he worked in community association management in the Triad of North Carolina and Hilton Head Island/Bluffton, SC. In addition to portfolio management at Elite, he maintains a career as a professional musician, a field to which he also holds a doctorate with distinction.

Debbie Haynes

Debbie is originally from Rhode Island and has been a North Carolina since 2004 and has been in the HOA industry ever since. She has extensive experience that covers onsite management, single family, townhomes, commercial and condominium communities and joined the Elite team in February 2020. Debbie’s strengths are problem solving, budget planning, legal document enforcement, & customer service. Debbie is a licensed Notary in Wake County. She enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the beach and traveling with her husband.

Andrea “Drea” Paulk

Andrea, who goes by the nickname Drea, was born and raised in Durham and currently resides in Chapel Hill. She has a B.A. in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she worked closely with Habitat for Humanity, Orange County and continues to volunteer her time helping their cause. She has worked in customer service for over 13 years including 4 years in management at a busy bank branch. She is currently a Portfolio Manager managing small to large condo, townhome, and single family communities. In her spare time she likes to read books, watch movies, complete craft projects, and just enjoy time with her family

Sara Sikora

Sara is originally from Wilmington, North Carolina, where she completed B.A.s in both English Literature and in Information Technologies at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She spent 8 years honing her problem solving and customer service skills in the Hospitality and Events industry, including 5 years in a supervisory role as Special Events Coordinator at the university. Her love of great food and great company led Sara and her husband to relocate to the RDU area to be closer to family. Sara looks forward to growing her skillset here with Elite.

Victoria Cheek

A graduate from Herbert W. Armstrong College with a degree in Liberal Arts. Over six years experience in customer service and experience in clerical duties. As a community manager she performs routine property inspections, complete real estate transfer forms, assist homeowners in completing architectural request forms, maintain and update community website, schedule homeowner events and assist with day to-day tasks.

Scott is originally from Virginia but recently moved to North Carolina in June 2022. He has over 15 years of condominium association knowledge and uses his experience to better serve the communities he manages here. Scott’s strengths are communication, organization, and loves working with both homeowners and boards. Beth Ogburn

She is passionate about teaching committees and boards with good HOA management practices. Beth takes full advantage of learning opportunities and is currently pursuing her CMCA credentials. Eric Browning

Eric is native to Virginia but moved to North Carolina in 2005. He is a graduate of Wake Technical College with a degree in Hospitality and Resort Management. He has over 15 years of customer service experience, serves on the Board of Directors in his own community and uses the experience of both to better serve the communities he manages here. Eric’s strengths are communication, organization, and he loves working with both homeowners and boards.

Marquina Lucas

Marquina is a graduate of The Art Institute and received her BA degree In Fashion Marketing & Management. She is a native of North Carolina and has over 10 years of customer service experience. In her free times, she enjoys any activity that allows her to use her creative skills, like baking and crafting. She has also has two children and a new dog that take up plenty of her free time. Marquina is excited to join the Elite team and expand her knowledge of HOA community management.

Sarah Lathrop

Sarah is originally from New York, but she has called North Carolina home since 2014. For most of that time, she has worked with Elite Management Professionals as an Assistant Community Manager to Senior Portfolio Manager, Karen Bayless. She has since moved into the position of portfolio management. Along with her regular management duties, Sarah works with Katie Dominello establish and implement processes and procedures for the company. She also works closely with Elite’s HR Director with training new employees and offering ongoing support. This includes creating and implementing plans for each new team member to ensure that they have the tools, resources, and knowledge needed when starting with the company. Sarah is excited to continue contributing to the company and looks forward to many more years with Elite Management Professionals.

Sierra Daye

Sierra is from Durham, NC originally but has been throughout the triangle ever since. Traveling the country and triangle has allowed her to try many restaurants which she enjoys greatly. Sierra previously worked as an administrative liaison for a daycare and from there moved on to general manager of a storage facility. The general manager’s position gave Sierra insight on managing multiple properties, keeping track of records as well as customer relations. Sierra was an assistant manager at Elite for a little over a year, excelled and was promoted to a Community Manager fairly quickly with her own portfolio.  Sierra is amazing at adjusting into new environments and accommodating with the resources at hand. Sierra is very eager to put her best foot forward in the HOA industry and continue to further her education, portfolio and knowledge.

Kelly Forrestal

Carol McKechnie

Carol is originally from Phoenix, Arizona but grew up in Montréal, Quebec and speaks fluent French. Carol attended college at St. John’s CEGEP in Ste. Anne de Bellevue, Quebec before travelling extensively throughout Canada. She came to Raleigh after leaving Vancouver, British Columbia and worked for many years as a District Sales Manager for the Raleigh News and Observer. While there, she received many awards and returned to school in pursuit of her Associate’s Degree in Science. She often made the Dean’s list, joined Phi Theta Kappa and is a member of the National Honors Society. She joined Elite in November of 2019 and is looking forward to obtaining her certifications in HOA management. She’s happily working under the tutelage of Hilary Slater and managing multiple portfolios in addition to managing a community on her own and studying for her CMCA accreditation.  In her spare time, Carol still enjoys traveling and spending time with friends, family, and her dog Jake.

Jarrett Reynolds

Jarrett is a proud alumnus of the University of North Carolina Wilmington, holding a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in management and leadership. New to the Raleigh area, Jarrett enjoys trying new places and exploring Raleigh with his Australian Shepherd, Liberty. He is excited to work under his manager, Nick Ruden, and is actively expanding his knowledge and experience in portfolio community management.

Breanna Mack

Breanna is a North Carolina native venturing to Raleigh, NC within the last few years. She is a graduate of Fayetteville State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. She has over 8 years in the customer service field with a drive to want to learn more. Since starting in the property management field, she has assisted with many communities and expanded her knowledge in different areas to better assist homeowners.

Danielle Pendergrass

Danielle was raised in Clayton, North Carolina before moving to Charlottesville, Virginia with her husband in 2020. In July 2024, Danielle and her husband moved back to Raleigh, and she joined our team later that month. Danielle has a few years of experience in residential Property Management in Virginia. She also has 10 years of customer service experience, so meeting new people comes very easy to her. Danielle enjoys going on cruises to different Caribbean Islands, tending to her house plants, and going on hikes with her husband and her dog. As an Assistant Community Manager at Elite Management Professionals, AAMC, I am dedicated to fostering well-organized, thriving communities. Outside of work, I enjoy participating in recreational sports with local teams and exploring the diverse events and experiences that North Carolina has to offer. Shelby McGinnis

Shelby McGinnis brings over a decade of experience in event planning and program management, having worked with several nonprofit organizations, including the Boys & Girls Club, the Salvation Army, and the USO. Her background also includes program development within the Maryland school system, where she played a key role in coordinating educational and community initiatives. Most recently, Shelby has held management positions within the hospitality industry in the North Hills area of Raleigh, NC, overseeing operations and event execution. Her diverse expertise in both nonprofit and hospitality sectors allows her to create impactful events and foster strong community engagement

Kayleigh Cosner

Recently relocated from Wilmington, NC, Kayleigh is a dedicated professional with over seven years of customer service experience. Formerly in leasing, she has developed a keen understanding of resident relations and property management dynamics. Kayleigh is dedicated to fostering positive community environments and enhancing homeowner satisfaction. Outside of work, Kayleigh enjoys beach outings, yoga, reading, and spending time with her beloved cat, Phoebe. A devoted Carolina Hurricanes fan (Let’s go Canes!), she’s always cheering on her team. She looks forward to growing in community management under the guidance of Community Manager Evelyn Sebastian.

Olena Haverlock

Olena was born in Zhytomyr Ukraine and moved to Cary NC, USA after her adoption. She cherishes her culture and does outreach projects to help others with a passion for working with children/adoptions. She has a business degree with honors and 8+ years in the customer service industry and management. She enjoys working on cars, being at the gym/boxing, cooking/exploring new foods, and exploring farmers’ markets. She is a fur mama of a German Shepherd/husky mix pup, Sammy, and a bonus mama of a sweet 6-year-old girl. She dreams of having her family homestead with highland cows and fields of sunflowers. Her favorite place is Maggie Valley NC where she fell in love with her now fiancĂ©, exploring the Eurofest car show and enjoying a big cup of coffee. Olena loves interacting and helping the homeowners she works with and is always ready for a challenge.

Amanda Leuser

Amanda was born in Pennsylvania but moved to North Carolina in 2009 where she now calls home. Amanda has 7 years of customer service experience and 3 years of coaching travel volleyball. She graduated with her associate’s degree in business administration and is attending Western Carolina for her bachelor’s degree in business management. She is excited to work with her manager, Star Smith, and is eager to expand her knowledge in assisting homeowners. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dogs.

Brian Small

Brian Small. Brian was born and raised in Mid-Coast Maine. He graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a BS in History. He lived and worked throughout northern New England until moving to Wake Forest with his wife and son in 2018. He brought his 25 years of customer service and management experience to the Elite team in August of 2024 and is eager to learn everything there is about property management. Brian is a pet lover and particularly his favorite dog, Boxers. He is an avid sports fan of all the New England sports teams, but his favorite team is whatever team his son is currently starring for. Outside of work you are most likely to find him on a ballfield, in the stands, at the gym, and most importantly, anywhere his loving wife may be.

Ashley Anderson

Financials Division Manager Accounting Division Lead

Ashley earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Radford University and has lived in moved to NC for the past 7 years in 2014. Ashley has been with Elite since 2018 and currently manages the financial division in the accounting department oversees all responsibilities of the accounting department. Her system knowledge and problem-solving skills make her a valuable asset to the team.

Tiffany Wilson

Tiffany Wilson has earned a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bowling Green State University and has lived in Raleigh for the past 15 years. Tiffany has seven years of Association accounting experience. Tiffany oversees all responsibilities of the accounting department. Tiffany’s knowledge and skills are extremely valuable to all members of our team and for all the Association members.

Dorthea is originally from Tarboro, NC. She has a BS in Accounting from North Carolina Wesleyan College. She has lived in Raleigh for 15 years. She has experience in accounting for small and medium sized businesses. She has always had an interest in accounting and its fundamental concepts and their applications to business development, as well as providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.

Julie Krieg

Julie is originally from Michigan and moved to NC in 2011. Julie holds 20 years of experience in the mortgage industry and was also a licensed real estate agent in Michigan. Since moving to North Carolina she has held the position of Assistant Branch Manager and Collections Manager at a finance company. Julie brings great banking, accounting and collections experience to Elite.

Susan earned a bachelor’s degree at Lehigh University and dual master’s degrees at Webster University in Leiden, The Netherlands.  Since moving to Raleigh in 2015, she has worked in accounting for two Association Management Companies.  She is responsible for the accounts receivable and resale departments of Elite.

Wendy Barefoot

Wendy is originally from Massachusetts and moved to NC in 2015. She has a background in management, business ownership, administration, and accounting practices.  In Massachusetts, she received a degree from Fisher College for Medical Administration, held a real estate license, and owned a hair salon business. Since moving to NC, she has worked solely in the HOA Industry in management and accounting earning ten years of experience. Wendy leads the accounts payable department made up of four employees all working on vendor invoices, payments, 1099s, taxes, etc.

Sue Golden

Susan Golden is originally from Chicago, but now calls North Carolina her home.

She has worked in various industries such as pharmaceutical, electronics, and medical, and currently enjoys working in the HOA industry.

Susan has also enjoyed being a volunteer reader, by reading to the blind over the radio.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, drawing, and reading books.

Raven is a Triangle native.  She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Meredith College.  She has been with Elite since 2019 and is currently an accounting administrator in the accounts receivable and resale department.  Raven is responsible for HomeWise demands, processing resales, and welcome letters.

Makayla Harris

I was born in Flint, Michigan, and moved to this area in 2007. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from American InterContinental University. Previously, I have worked in customer service-related roles and in the banking industry. The majority of my free time is taken up by my two children.

Greg Kreamer, SHRM-CP

Greg is our human resources manager. After fifteen years working in the corporate retail world, he decided it was time for a change and joined the Elite team in 2022. He earned his B.S. in Interpersonal/Organizational communication from East Carolina University and M.A. in Health Communication from ECU as well. When he’s not working, Greg enjoys distance running and finding new places to hike or camp.
